Quality classes in MYRLIN

Users have asked how quality classes can be handled by MYRLIN.

The MYRLIN#1 module has no facilities for separating quality classes in the stand table. However, the growth projections made by MYRLIN are insensitive to stand density. This means that it is possible to restrict the stand table to be projected only to those trees that are of commercial quality, without affecting the predicted commercial yield.

An alternative method is to give trees of commercial and reject quality distinct species codes, for example HDW1 and HDW2. This would allow them to be specified through the system and appear side-by-side in the stand tables.
